The Pilates Method is a movement technique developed by Joseph Pilates which trains practitioners to integrate Mind and Body, creating many positive overall benefits. The foundation of Pilates is focused on strengthening the trunk or “core” of the body. This includes the deepest abdominal muscles which act as an internal corset for the body, as well as the pelvic floor and many stabilizing muscles.
We offer specialized private Pilates instruction as well as a variety of group class types that aim to help strengthen the body, mind, and connection to oneself through movement.
